Glastonbury - the departure

glastonbury - the departure - I'm just about getting dry here in the car, the guys however are not. They had to march with me at 6am to the car and stand outside waiting to push Roz (my car) out of any ditches. As it happens we managed to negotiate any problem areas and without the need to push. We did wait for about an hour just here though.... waiting.... what a wicked time. I'd do it all again, minus mud.

Re-doing Banksy

Re-doing Banksy - Here's a fella adding a few tags to Banky's work. Not very good ones as it turned out. There was loads of graffiti during the whole event, many bits which seemed to be welcomed by the security lot.

Dame Bassey

Dame Bassey - Need I say more.... really good laugh having a dance to the Dame Bassey.

Klashnekoff

Klashnekoff - Absolutely wicked set from Klashnekoff- he's completely mental when rapping ! The speed at which he spits is just astounding. DJ Skully was providing the backing. I'm well pleased I caught him, but I did miss Coldcut who were playing at the same time which is slightly disappointing.

Waiting for Dan

Waiting for Dan - Klaxsons were not so great, they were too quiet. Mark Ronson was good and I await Hybrid. Well, Dan first he's broken the seal.

css - A bunch of absolutely mental Brazilian girls with one lad playing the drums in tow. Great entertainment. Here come the Klaxons!

hot chip

hot chip - Great act, they really kept the mood high throughout the whole set and saved Over & Over until last.

really, very unlucky

really, very unlucky - Poor chap. Face down in the mud, which by this time wasnt as bad as it got overnight, having photos taken by all sorts. There is a continual sound of sloshing everywhere. We're ankle deep in it now.

banksy - Cant remember if I've posted this already but check out Banksy's Pile of Crap artwork. These portaloos are buried near the stone circle, which is a bizarre place in itself.

rain - We awoke to glorious sun, but now the rains have moved in and we are confined to the tent for THE REMAINDER OF THE WEEKEND!!

xx teens

xx teens - 5 guys playing some sort of upbeat guitar rock with punk like shouty-shouty lyrics. Horrible description but the rain is off my head at least.

overnight parking - Someone pitched their tent right behind me in the most impossible position, straddling two others.

sound check - listening to the sound check here, we're so far out but the thing sounds amazing. More people flood in!

but where is the band? - We wait. No band. The simion mobile disco should be up. Warm in the crowds though!

Breakfast

Breakfast - Cooking on Dan's little stove, we prepare a breakfast of Kings. Prime pork sandwiches, no rusk to be seen. The smell is divine, everybody around us must be drooling !

Glastonbury - the arrival

glastonbury - the arrival - Tents as far as the eye can see... and you start to realise there are a good many pros at this game. We should have brought a big locator flag! This place is massive!

crushing victory - My Ultimate Frisbee team triumphs - we were ahead from the start and carried that lead through the whole game. Wonderful stuff. Next up ? Nobody, it's Glastonbury next !
